About You:

As the leader of the Recruiting team, you'll bring the hunger, experience, and attitude necessary to get the job done!

Recruiting is a core strategic driver of Convoy’s success. We are looking for a Recruiting Manager to help define the way we recruit as we move into the next evolution of Convoy. The Recruiting Manager will be responsible for defining and executing the talent acquisition strategy and execution for a variety of roles.

You will be responsible for:

  • Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to set and drive strategy, goals, process, forecasting, and metrics. 
  • Develop innovative ways to meet expanding and evolving recruiting needs.
  • Create objectives around and lead key initiatives & projects with recruiting team, stakeholders, and hiring partners. E.g. Diversity and Influencing employer & talent brand
  • Direct and oversee the hiring of upper management and executives
  • Manage a team who own finding, assessing, and closing all levels of candidates as well doing the same to build trust 
  • Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to members of the recruiting team.
  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with management and key cross-functional stakeholders internally 
  • Compile & analyze data and metrics to support business decisions and plans as necessary.
  • Update current and design new org wide recruiting processes, Implement strategic hiring procedures and improve upon recruitment measures
  • Foster trust-based relationships with candidates, gaining a close understanding of their requirements and concerns. 
  • Capture and maintain accurate market, client and candidate information on our knowledge management systems so as to both facilitate the search process.

You have the following skills and experience:

  • 8+ years’ of recruiting experience within a corporate environment.
  • 6+ years’ experience of managing recruiters and sourcers.
  • 6+ years partnering/managing stakeholders at a VP/C level
  • Experience building coaching and managing a technical recruiting team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with teams and clients, including management.
  • Experience using talent market insights and data to influence decisions within the leadership groups and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of building working relationships with leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience in partnerships across a variety of functions to build on as well as create candidate experiences that align with Convoy’s values and mission.
  • Experience working with recruiting tools and systems, including resume databases, internet sourcing tools, and spreadsheets.

Preferred qualifications:

  • You are organized and pragmatic.
  • Skilled at partnering with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of ROI.
  • Workforce planning experience.
  • Experience scaling a team through tremendous growth periods.
  • Experience creating, measuring and scaling workflow between candidates, Hiring Managers and the Recruiting team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
