The People team at Chef is looking for a new Sr. Technical Recruiter to join us on our mission to help build Chef by finding, engaging and hiring exceptional humans.

We’re looking for someone with the experience, vision and passion to help build a world-class technical Recruiting function. In this player-coach role, you will recruit and hire top technical talent across the globe while providing leadership to our recruiting efforts for all functions. You will also build strong partnerships with business leaders, hiring managers and recruiting/HR colleagues. This position reports to the VP of People and is based in Seattle.

What You'll Do:

• Manage full cycle recruitment process ensuring a high-touch experience for every candidate from application stage to offer which leads to an awesome candidate experience regardless of outcome

• Build rapport with hiring managers and executives so you know what they want and they trust your judgment. Because of your skills, subject matter expertise, and abilities to set direction, you will become a trusted adviser for the company when it comes to attracting and hiring the best of the best tech talent.
• Provide mentoring and direction to recruiting team of two.
• Identify and initiate needed projects: You take a look at the way we do things and make suggestions for improvements around processes to enhance our efficiency and the candidate experience.
• You will use data to help evaluate all talent acquisition programs and initiatives.

Who You Are:

• Strategic: you have a vision and can communicate it clearly.
• Creative: status quo doesn’t work nor should it. You think outside the box and you’re not afraid to take thoughtful risks.
• Programmatic: you know how to build talent generation programs while thinking deeply about employment brand. Pipelines and process are your friends.

Skills and Experience:

• 5 to 7 years handling the end-to-end recruitment life cycle
• You have helped build tech recruiting capabilities in high growth environments; you can point to a history of results & excellent performance.
• You know how to guide and mentor others to achieve success across the board.
• You’ve got a college degree, can communicate & write well and are sharp as a tack at grasping new things.
• You have a pulse on the competitive tech landscape.
