About the Role:

 

We are looking for a Director of People to join us during this exciting time as we put our focus on more strategic initiatives. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a large impact in a growing company, newly funded by one of the largest private equity investment firms, TPG.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Measure employee engagement and satisfaction. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in retention, morale, productivity.
  • Manage employee events, recognition programs, and initiatives that foster a dynamic, positive culture.
  • Administer and update our total rewards offerings including benefits administration; compensation analysis, benchmarking and job leveling; equity administration.
  • Facilitate the performance management cycle. Evaluate current practices and pitch ideas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local guidelines. Stay on the pulse of new laws, regulations, and HR trends and develop new policies and practices to stay current and progressive.
  • Lead selection of new HRIS. Create metrics, analytics, and reports to inform decision making. Determine other areas where technology can automate systems and processes, reduce costs and create efficiencies.
  • Work in concert with colleagues in recruiting and training to successfully orchestrate all of the activities in the employee lifecycle.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations issues.
  • Serve as a sounding board and expert advisor to DBL employees at all levels seeking counsel on people matters.
  • Support M & A work as part of due diligence and integration of cross-functional teams.
  • Manage a small, nimble team with a focus on providing timely, high-quality, high-touch service while having fun and developing new skills.

About You:

  • 10 years of professional experience with at least 3 years of experience managing HR operations and supervising team members.
  • Track record of success in dynamic, fast-growth companies with a preference for experience in technology or other innovative industries that require creativity and flexibility over standardization and control.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage complex initiatives from concept to implementation and evaluation.
  • Deep knowledge of pertinent federal, state and local regulations, filing and compliance requirements (current and pending) affecting employee benefit programs including ERISA, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, and HIPAA, ACA.
  • Successful track record of building and managing innovative, flexible, HR programs to meet current and emerging business needs.
  • Prior experience with M&A a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to create convincing proposals, deliver compelling presentations, and to write document policy, process, etc.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to collect data and interpret it for effective decision-making.
  • Strong EQ and ability to reach mutual agreements with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Able to function effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a sense of fun, humor, humility, grace.
  • HR Certification Institute (HRCI) Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification, or Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
