About the Role

The People Operations leader will manage the operational arm of the people function as we scale Highspot into new geographies and grow exponentially. This candidate will have a foundational role in building and scaling a global architecture for our employees that will enable our ability to attract and retain talent. THis will be accomplished through by way of establishing key infrastructure including; process, policy, technologies. This role will also manage total rewards, employee enablement self-service strategy, building frameworks for people related actionable insights, budget management as well as rhythm of the business readiness.

Key Focus Areas

  • Employee Experience – Build Framework from Candidate - New Hire - Departure. Work with Key leaders (P&OD, DEI&B, Recruiting and HR) to drive an integrated approach to defining EX (what great looks like) and measuring outputs
  • Employee & Culture Insights Strategy – includes survey strategy, other key data inputs etc. that build the story of strong engagement and leading indicators
  • Build Employee digital experience and employee service delivery model
  • Compliance – Policy management, Immigration, LOA, State EE compliance and trends
  • Systems – evolution of technologies (Workday +), vendor management, enhance usability and productivity, introduce new technologies that drive ee productivity, data integrity etc.
  • Annual Planning – Budget management
  • Enhance operational aspects of On/Off-Boarding
  • Direct management PMs and Ops employees
  • Manage integrated people programs plan for employees, managers and people team
  • Optimize how we manage our internal content management (Spots) and measure effectiveness

Experience, Capabilities and Attributes

  • Project management – define outputs and ability to instill and help team build project management skillset/mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both strategically and operationally - think end to end, think longer term, understand the external and internal scenarios and interdependencies. Operational capability of understanding key milestones/deliverables/actions, create and manage dashboards for exec stakeholders, drive accountability of project/programs, etc.
  • Teach, build and hire team for the next phase of Highspot’s growth
  • Operate, and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment with ambiguity and change
  • Experienced people manager who can scale out a team and build great team cohesion

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree – business, psychology or related field or related business experience
  • Prior experience managing and growing a team of compensation and operational, administrative personnel
  • Prior and demonstrated experience with budget management
  • Proven experience in analyzing, building people data and insights roadmap
  • Hands-on experience in growth stage start-up environment
  • Prior experience managing compensation and benefits – systems, roadmaps, programs, analysis

Location

Our HQ is located within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Seattle Piers. With amazing 360 views of the Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle. The only downside, there are almost too many places to pick for your lunch meetings.
