As a training instructor, you will play a critical role in being the face of the company for all new hires during on-boarding in the Seattle office by facilitating our new hire program. You will also facilitate other key training initiatives designed to help our team members thrive in their positions such as assisting in building a curriculum that drives meaningful improvements to operations and contributes to improving existing programs through evaluating existing materials.

You will be partnering to work with subject matter experts in all departments to identify training needs, develop curricula, and deliver training. With our rapid expansion in employee numbers and our rapid expansion in our technology, training needs are constantly growing and evolving.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensures smooth and effective functioning of training operations and manages course delivery across the company by scheduling training events, arranging classroom logistics, coordinating the availability of instructors, preparing training materials, managing enrollment rosters, and providing other logistical support required for successful learning.
  • Utilize and develop reports to track progress and results of trainees and communicate to senior leadership and team managers
  • Maintain presentations, curriculum, and teaching styles to accommodate the same level of learning for all
  • Maintain appropriate training resources and tools, such as presentations, recordings, user guides, and training materials
  • Facilitate learning sessions, onsite, remote, webinar

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 5+ years of in-classroom training experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy; ability to use Mac, Google Suite, and consider themselves a quick learner of systems & tools.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects of different sizes and complexity
  • Solves problems, responds to issues calmly and in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Flexibility in schedule
  • Continuous desire to learn (traditional schooling, conferences, books, programs, etc.) 

Preferred Qualifications

  • eLearning experience
  • Technical training experience 
  • Background in construction or home service trades is a plus
