Yesler is seeking a dynamic, global leader to create and execute forward-thinking people practices for our thriving company. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead and inspire a fun and cohesive team of HR and recruiting professionals to ensure we continue to be a place where people love to work. As a member of the executive team, you will use your experience to set the vision, strategy, and implementation of all people-related activities for both of our brands: Yesler, a B2B Agency; and Projectline, our strategic resourcing firm. 
Responsibilities

  • You will inspire change and drive innovation based on research and changing trends in human capital, automation, remote workforces, blended resourcing, and the future of work.
  • You'll get to collaborate with the senior leadership team to align HR strategy with business strategy, including growth goals, recruitment goals, talent management, and career-pathing.
  • You will serve as a strategic advisor, functional authority, and forward-thinking HR leader for the CEO and executive/management team regarding all people-related initiatives.
  • You'll also oversee recruiting efforts and guide where needed on process improvements, performance metrics, and continuous improvement to drive the organization's growth strategy
  • You will regularly coach and influence leaders – help enable leaders to be great, focusing on building a high-performing, high trust, diverse, and inclusive environment across teams.
  • You will guide and partner in employee development matters and work side-by-side to handle and resolve difficult situations.
  • You will share your expertise on diversity, equity and inclusion, and collaborate with senior leaders to spearhead these efforts.
  • You'll partner with leadership and HR team members to create learning and development programs to prepare employees for more significant responsibilities as the company grows and scales.
  • You will lead the design of our total compensation, including benefits design and compensation analysis.
  • You will measure employee satisfaction and lead change management initiatives where needed.
  • You'll serve as an expert with a modern point of view by exploring and delivering on new ways of working. Stay on the pulse of new laws, regulations, and HR trends.
  • You will provide direction and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and organizational planning.
  • You will also lead compliance by providing oversight and mitigating risk.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business experience including 5+ years as an HR Director/Business Partner, and 3+ years in recruiting.
  • 5+ years of experience with global HR. Multi-company experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated excellence in strategy, thought leadership, change management and collaborating across departments.
  • Examples of successful coaching, relationship-building and organizational challenge-resolution at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, develop and retain effective, diverse teams.
  • Successful track record of building and managing performance, reward, and benefits programs.
  • Data-grounded mindset with the ability to collect data and interpret it for effective decision-making.
  • Strong EQ, demonstrating both empathy and strength as a leader.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced, future-oriented environment.
  • Experience in a multi-state, global organization is required.
  • One of the following: HR Certification Institute (HCI) Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) Certification or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), OR Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional (SCP) Certification, OR an advanced degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development/Psychology.
  • Must reside in the Seattle area, or be willing to relocate. Relocation allowance is available for the right hire.
