Dropbox Launch Internship (Summer 2022) - Location Flexible
Role Description
Do you wonder how to get technical experience when even internships require previous technical experience?
The Dropbox Launch Program is a 12-week paid internship geared towards students who are looking for their first technical internship. You are paired with a dedicated mentor committed to guiding your learning and development throughout the summer. Our goal is to provide you with a learning opportunity to apply your college coursework to industry software engineering as well as a variety of social events for you to meet colleagues, create friendships, and start to build your network.
Dropbox Launch is open to students of all backgrounds, and we strongly encourage applicants from historically underrepresented groups in technology to apply.
Timeline + Process
- Qualified candidates will receive an invitation to complete CodeSignal (GCA) - due within 7 days of receipt
- Custom Dropbox CodeSignal Assessment (90 minutes) - completed by 1/28/2022
- Upon successful completion you will be invited to a Dropbox Launch Webinar on 2/2/2022 to learn more about the program, interview process, and hear from former launch interns
- Set up time to connect with a Dropbox Recruiter
- Final Virtual Interviews conducted between (2/7-2/18)

Responsibilities
Here’s a sneak peak at what you can expect from being a Launch intern:
- Project: You’ll work on a well-scoped, high-impact projects developed by your mentor and present your project and insights to your peers and senior Dropboxers.
- Learning & Development: We’ve curated an all-star lineup of Dropboxers from the C-suite to individual contributors for professional development workshops & panel discussions. We’ll also give you a $1,000 budget to customize your own learning and development during the summer.
- Mentorship: You’ll work side-by-side with a dedicated, experienced engineer as your mentor and have ownership of a high-impact project. If you’re interested, we can also pair you up with another mentor from our Employee Resource Groups; Pridebox, Latin-X, Women@, Asians@ and Black Dropboxers!
- Community: We obsess over ways to help you build lasting relationships with a diverse group of Dropboxers and other interns. In the past, we’ve hosted social events like bubble soccer, cooking classes, and volunteering opportunities.
Requirements
- Currently a second or third-year student in a Bachelor’s degree program
- Pursuing a computer science (or similar) degree
- You will be 18+ years of age by commencement of internship program (May 2022)
- No prior software engineering experience or internships required
- Experience in Python (or other object-oriented programming languages)
