Peach is a venture-backed lunch delivery business that started in June 2014 and serves thousands of customers in Western Washington, Boston and San Diego. Peach has a unique and compelling business model where both the customer and the restaurant win; by capitalizing on the availability and talent of local restaurants, we bring locally produced, high quality meals to our customers in office buildings.

We are looking for an Inside Sales Intern to join the team. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or current student who is studying business at the graduate level. They will be familiar with the small business/start-up environment and have prior exposure to business operations and strategic management, whether in the professional or academic setting.

You will be crucial as a steward of company growth. You will take charge in the successful expansion of the current business into new markets and assist with establishing a foothold in the market. This is a dynamic role which allows you to grow as much and as fast as you want to. The position will report directly VP of Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and current customers at various business throughout several markets
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand a database of contacts at target companies and organizations
  • Short term and long term forecast and budgeting
  • Communicate the business operations and mission to prospective customers in order to attract new business
  • Assist the VP of Operations with various other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Business Admin or related field, or currently pursuing business education at the university level
  • Familiarity with the strategic business environment
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and sales tactics
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Driven & scrappy

Preferred:

  • Prior startup or small business experience
  • Proficiency with SQL
