As an intern with Remitly, you will be an integral part of a highly collaborative and talented product development team. You will have the opportunity to work on meaningful and impactful projects over the course of three months. Mentorship
Mentorship is seen as an important role in developing top talent so you will have an assigned mentor to help you be successful during your time at our company. All our engineering interns are encouraged to ship code to production within their first week!

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area
• Experience with one of the following: Java, PHP, Ruby or Python
• Comfortable working with UNIX/Linux systems
• Fundamental knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
• Strong problem solving ability and drive
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred, But Optional Skills

• Knowledge of software engineering practices such as Agile development, scrum, etc.
• Familiar with version control systems (git, svn)
• Hands-on expertise in working on full-stack applications (front-end to databases)
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS
• Experience with unit and functional testing
• Experience working with different business teams from marketing and finance, to operations, etc.
