Investor Services Engineering Fellowship Program
Carta is the platform that helps companies manage their ownership and investors manage their investments. Our software is creating a graph of ownership throughout the world and changing the way companies are financed and managed.
As a fellow on the Investor Services team, you will:
- Build tools and infrastructure to support a fast growing product.
- Gain software engineering experience and knowledge of best practices.
- Build features that help investors raise and distribute capital, make sound investments and reduce risk.
- Work across our technology stack using Python, Django, React and Docker
Fellows will work with a mentor to identify areas of interest and growth for their project(s). Examples of past fellow projects:
- Tool to conduct shareholder voting
- Data visualization dashboard from collected portfolio company financials
- Sharing of ownership data between companies and their investors
Potential projects could include:
- Automating infrastructure through Slack chat-bots
- Tracking cryptographic asset investments (bitcoin/ethereum)
- Automate data ingestion workflows
Length of fellowship: 12 weeks
Start date: January 7
Requirements
- Strong interest in building web applications or web application infrastructure
- Skills with at least one of the following: Python, Javascript, React, Docker
- Familiarity with MVC architecture and frameworks like Django, Laravel or Ruby on Rails
- One completed bootcamp, college, or personal project
