We are looking for exceptional engineering interns to work in Unity’s AI group at our Bellevue office this summer. You will join the visual Machine Learning team, a team of Machine Learning engineers working on understanding and generating visual content to benefit the unity ecosystem. These technologies have the potential to transform how games are created, and the experiences they deliver to millions of players worldwide. You will have a mentor to define and guide you through your own project and collaborate with a team of experienced engineers. An ideal internship project would result in a substantial enhancement to our public or private services.

Responsibilities

• Implement algorithms for understanding visual content and help our users discover content in our asset store catalog
• Enhance our internal systems for recommendations, churn prediction or understanding of our asset store catalog
• Contribute to state of the art computer vision models to generate visual content for environments made with unity

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree-granting program in Computer Science or related technical field
• Programming experience in one of the following languages: Python, C#, or C++
• Experience in one of the following libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Caffe2
• Strong background in linear algebra, calculus, and probability theory
• Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bonus points

• Experience with contributing to open-source projects
• Experience with large-scale data and distributed systems
• Experience with Unity Engine, 3D simulators, and game development
