Job Description

If you are passionate about building products, by bringing creative problem solving, technical acumen and strategic thinking, this role is right for you. You will spend the summer being in the forefront of shaping the course of our next generation of BIG-IP.

This position will:

  • Contribute to product features that delivers on our BIG-IP roadmap

  • Define problem statements and product requirements with transparency and rigor

  • Design and prioritize features taking into consideration market trends and customer needs

  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver new features with velocity

  • Define priorities to ensure successful product launches on time and with quality

  • Drive usage and adoption of our products with customers

  • Evangelize features internally and externally to ensure users benefit and derive value from the products we build

  • Be an excellent team player who goes beyond oneself and elevates the performance of the entire team

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver differentiated products that are in alignment with market trends and delight customers

  • Lead feature planning, prioritization and setting up the execution direction of engineering teams

  • Engage with customers to drive adoption of products

  • Influence cross functional teams in agile ways of working

REQUIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • “Can do” attitude and passion to make customers and colleagues successful

  • Ownership mindset with the natural inclinations to take challenges head on and deliver impact

  • Bias towards data driven decision making that incorporates analytical rigor and creative thinking

  • Analytically minded

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid understanding of networking, application delivery and application security concepts

  • A current student enrolled in a technical discipline at a four year institution in the US. Preferred majors are Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied and Computational Math Sciences, Human Computer Interaction, Information Systems or related disciplines. Business majors with technical acumen are welcome to apply. Candidates pursuing a Masters or PhD are also welcome.

  • Students who have one summer left before graduation are preferred. Exceptional Sophomore or Freshmen may be considered. Candidates that will graduate before the start of the internship cannot be considered.

  • Available for a 12 week internship between May and September of 2021. We are unable to accommodate internships outside of this time frame.
