About the job: 

As Business Strategy on the International Business Team, this role will primarily be driving FlyHomes’ marketplace vision for the Chinese market segment. Specifically, FlyHomes has leveraged AI and machine learning to build pricing and financial products that allow us to build a user-driven real estate marketplace. As a key member of this team, the Business Strategy will be responsible for bringing our product to these two markets. This key segment requires analyzing both data and legal hurdles that are associated within this specific segment all members of this team must be well versed in both.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Collect business intelligence data from US and China to recommend actions
  • Analyze transaction and public records to identify Mandarin category investments in US residential properties
  • Forecast demand changes related to cross-border regulatory environment
  • Collaborate and negotiate service level agreements with consulting groups to incorporate external business intelligence data into internal forecasts
  • Build localized business strategies, partnerships & advise on contracts/terms to accelerate FlyHomes' growth with international Chinese clients
  • Build acquisition and brand marketing strategies that align compliance with US Fair Housing guidelines
  • Lead a team tasked with building a Mandarin content strategy and playbook
  • Draft contracts and negotiate arrangements with PR agencies and digital advertising platforms
  • Deploy strategies to capture profits of innovation-related activities, particularly in the field residential real estate/tax to open/expand outside investments
  • Design investment strategies that allow for investment within both Chinese and US immigration laws
  • Support senior leadership on capital raising and being a brand ambassador in the VC/investor community
  • Liaise with China VC/investors and law firms on equity/debt raising
  • Prepare memoranda on China law legal issues and deal structures
  • Support specific customer segments with native language expertise
  • Build native language training program to drive consistently across US and international
  • Prepare Mandarin deal documents, instructions and reading materials for stakeholders
  • Communicate with outside counsel on new products and strategy initiatives

Job requirements: 

  • Minimum of BA in business, law, or a related field (or its equivalent)
  • Familiarity of the Chinese business and law requirements through education in business or law in China and/or experience of working in China. An MBA or Masters of Law is preferred.
  • Ability to provide native language expertise where required (Mandarin)
  • Hands-on experience in business strategy
  • Experience leading teams, in multiple channels of business
