What you will do at Pushpay…
You will report directly to the General Counsel, and you will be a trusted and highly valued partner to the business. The role comes with plenty of opportunity for advancement for the right candidate, and be the go to person for customer and commercial contracts and product and privacy counseling. You will engage directly with senior business leaders. You will be closely involved in all of the legal and compliance aspects of the business and work with a General Counsel who is passionate about mentoring, growth, working smarter, and healthy and sustainable work-life balance.
The ideal candidate will be tech savvy, have strong drafting and negotiation skills, confidence, grit, high emotional intelligence, a good sense of humor, a passion for building relationships across the business, a no job is too big or too small attitude, and the ability to operate autonomously and take ownership.
Requirements
- J.D. and be admitted, active and in good standing with at least one State Bar
- At least 3 - 6 years of combined relevant experience in law firms and/or in-house legal departments
- Strong contracts drafting and negotiation experience developed at a top tier law firm and/or in-house.
- The ability to demonstrate simplicity in communicating complex legal ideas to the business without sacrificing accuracy.
- Practical, business-minded approach to problem solving
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Have a strong desire to learn the business and new areas of law and to function integrally as part of an interdisciplinary team
Nice to Haves
- Significant In-House SaaS and/or FinTech Experience
- Extensive transactions experience at a top law firm
- Extensive knowledge and skill around data privacy issues
- Best case, a candidate would be in close proximity to Redmond, WA, but the General Counsel (who operates remotely from the SF Bay Area) is open to remote work for the right candidate.
