We are looking for a talented Paralegal to join our growing, dynamic and team-oriented Legal team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter familiar with drafting/negotiating contracts and contracts administration. As a Corporate Paralegal, you will report to the Director of Legal - Commercial and will support our Commercial Sales team and processes. You will also work cross functionally with all teams across FLEXE. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter familiar with the sales negotiation process, contract lifecycle and contracts administration & management. 


What You'll Do:

  • Draft and negotiate NDAs, SOWs, and standard template agreements
  • Assist with the drafting and commercial sales process, managing contract redlines and revisions
  • Implement and oversee contract management system
  • Coordinate with internal clients and other functional areas to ensure timely completion of agreements and appropriate contractual terms
  • Interact directly with internal and external parties as needed
  • Ensure consistency of contract terms with legal department policies to manage company risk
  • Manage contract review request process
  • Maintain templates for standard documents
  • Assist business stakeholders with contracts finalization including signature authority, electronic signatures, and counterpart signatures
  • Drive contracts best practices and our repository/management system search
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of contract requests
  • Support the development and implementation of legal department policies and procedures, manuals, playbooks and templates
  • Lead or assist with special projects as assigned (e.g., data privacy, records retention, training materials) 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Does This Sound Like You?

  • Five+ years of legal experience as a contract manager or contracts paralegal in a law firm and/or in-house legal department, including drafting experience 
  • Experience supporting high volume contract flow
  • Experience operating contract management systems
  • Deep understanding of contracts, contractual language and the contract lifecycle
  • Experience interpreting contract requests, drafting contracts, and managing contract records
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on written and verbal communication.
  • An expert user of the Google Office Suite and DocuSign
  • Excellent organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to uphold the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality
  • The ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Experience in a start-up or rapidly growing environment is preferred
  • Logistics experience is a strong plus

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate required

Working Conditions:

  • Currently, all employees work remotely (from home)
  • Office, remote and hybrid office/remote work options considered in future
  • When working in office, environment is indoors climate-controlled, open-concept workspace
  • When working remotely, work is performed in employee’s home or other space/co-working space
  • Off core-hours will be necessary at times to meet business needs and deadlines

Physical Considerations:

  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment
  • Normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports
  • Work on computers and sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote (work from home) environment
  • Occasional high stress when dealing with tight deadlines
  • Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people
  • Ability to lift PCs and other office-related equipment
