The Role: Live Augmentation Specialist
Genius Sports is seeking a Live Augmentation Specialist to join our team and help deliver innovative live broadcast products across major sports leagues and media organizations worldwide. We run both hardware and cloud-based solutions, so the ideal candidate will have experience in both environments and a strong interest in sports and live production technology.

What You'll Do
  • Operate and manage on-premise hardware and cloud-based video pipelines for our live video augmentation systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot live video, audio, and metadata feeds (including ad markers, closed captioning, player tracking, and game clocks).
  • Run tests and simulations to validate updates and new feature releases.
  • Support senior operators and engineering teams in resolving live issues during events.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth operations during live broadcasts.
  • Contribute feedback to improve tools, processes, and system stability.

What You Have

  • 1–3 years of experience in live video production, streaming or broadcast operations, ideally with exposure to live sports environments.
  • Familiarity with live video formats, encoders, and streaming protocols.
  • Basic understanding of IP and traditional video transmission protocols and video
  • signal flow.
  • Familiarity with structured data formats such as JSON, XML, or CSV for managing live metadata and configurations.
  • Experience working in a control room or live production setting.
  • Flexibility to work a sports-based schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays).

The salary for this role is based on an annualized salary range of $70,000 - $80,000. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
