Outreach is seeking an Associate Evangelist (AE) to partner with its Global Innovation Evangelist and to work independently as we plan to dramatically increase the impact, velocity and scale of our thought leadership and other brand building activities. This is a high visibility role that will report to the CRO organization with direct accountability to Outreach’s VP, Global Innovation Evangelist. This role will work closely with Outreach’s content marketing, product marketing, and corporate communications teams. 


You will be responsible for conducting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative research and for bringing the data to life in written and other formats. Our thought leadership is intended to be consumed CROs, CXOs, and Revenue Operations leaders and is designed to reinforce Outreach as a leading expert voice in the market.

Through our studies, blogs, webinars, podcasts and byline articles, our thought leadership helps educate, enlist, and inspire the market, our customers, and prospects to action.


The right candidate will have sales technology and market research domain expertise. They will be engaging storytellers with strong written and verbal communication skills and must be comfortable inspiring audiences in digital, remote, and analog settings. Our AE must additionally possess strong project management skills. 


Location: Open to remote work in the United States.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

  • Conducting research. You will create research premises, design surveys, analyze and interpret data, and write studies, articles, and blogs. You will work closely and collaboratively with the VP, Global Innovation Evangelist either co-writing and co-publishing and/or working on your own independent bylines.
  • Managing research projects. You will be responsible for maintaining the master project management plan of all current and planned Evangelist-led research and other initiatives. You will partner with key content marketing colleagues to ensure cohesion between Evangelist-led thought leadership and other relevant content marketing initiatives. 
  • Amplifying the Outreach brand. Under the outreach umbrella you will build a dynamic and authentic professional brand on LinkedIn and Twitter, and any other relevant social platforms. You will do this by curating content, creating spaces for your audience to engage, and by amplifying Outreach’s point of view through polls, shares and comments. Your social interactions will amplify our vision, market leadership, and company values.
  • Supporting commercial efforts. You will be aligned to our Commercial and SMB segment teams. In this capacity you will ensure all Evangelist produced thought leaderships is front and center for these sales teams. You will educate team members on how, when, why, and where to use these assets in the revenue cycle. You will partner with marketing and enablement colleagues to keep the Seismic “Evangelist Page” dynamic, engaging, and populated with current research. You will share best practices gleaned from new research with prospects and customers of these segments in one-to-many and where appropriate 1:1 settings.

Qualifications

  • Three-to five years of experience working as a researcher or analyst
  • Understanding of market research methods and best practices
  • Expertise in designing and creating surveys
  • Strong data and analytical skills
  • Project management experience 
  • Understanding of SaaS technology, the sales technology marketplace, and all relevant vernacular
  • Exec-level presence and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and a track record for creating and delivering clear and compelling storyline arcs
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and executives 
  • Exceptional ability to drive key business objectives with data-driven, fact-based insights that lead to well-informed strategic plans, quick decision making and impactful outcomes
