Your role and impact

98point6 is looking for an experienced copywriter with a passion for creating engaging content for a variety of audiences. This role will maintain brand voice integrity across multiple digital and print deliverables. The ideal candidate will excel in every aspect of copywriting: developing original messaging, enhancing in-flight content, ideating on existing campaign strategies and ensuring that all externally facing written materials convey and continue to build our brand.

Responsibilities

  • Manage content projects end-to-end, including researching, creating and/or editing content for offline and online platforms aimed at both internal and external audiences
  • Work with design and marketing teams to develop engaging concepts and materials that help drive business objectives—from creating website copy for consumer and business audiences to product marketing, collateral content, advertising copy and more
  • Collaborate across the company on content needs, responding to requests for content/feedback, including enhancing existing content or creating new
  • Manage existing content, including making timely updates and archiving the outdated/no longer needed
  • Educate, inspire and oversee 98point6’s brand voice and style guide across marketing and corporate efforts to align messaging and tone across the company
  • Leverage SEO and web analytics as relevant to prioritize content needs
  • Oversee and collaborate with contributing writers
  • Serve as master proofreader across all company assets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 7+ years of professional writing experience in an agency or in-house setting; experience writing for consumer technology preferred
  • Advertising or marketing background; experience working with premium or global brands a plus
  • Experience writing for a brand, with a deep understanding of applying brand voice
  • Experience writing both short- and long-form copy across online and offline marketing vehicles
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics
  • Exceptional proofreading skills
  • Critical thinker and communicator who can present copy best practices and articulate copy choices
  • Proven ability to adapt writing to various audiences while influencing consumer perceptions and driving action with highly relevant and compelling messages
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and move quickly without sacrificing the details
  • Experience working with aggressive deadlines, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple deliverables and ensure concurrent projects are finished on time
