About the Position:

As a public relations professional, you love thinking about the way words and ideas influence others. As the Corporate Communications Manager at Pushpay, you’ll leverage that interest into informing, engaging and influencing an internal audience of employees and co-workers thirsty to stay connected to our company and our corporate community. But the bulk of your responsibility will be external—helping professionals build and expand the communities they serve. You’ll be on the front lines of communicating key company initiatives and priorities by pitching stories, writing content and coordinating earned media opportunities that maximize the content our marketing organization produces. You’ll utilize your passion for storytelling to human connections and emotions at the heart of the content you’ll craft with customers and colleagues to create the most memorable and impactful narratives for our entire organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the VP of Corporate Communications in developing and executing Corporate Communication strategies to stimulate awareness, create interest, and drive consideration of our products and solutions vs. the competition.
  • Managing our public relations agency and helping ensure alignment of metrics, focus, and strategies. Serve as a project manager and organizer for PR collateral such as news releases, facilitating internal stakeholder reviews.
  • Partner with the Pushpay HR team on internal communications projects as needed, bringing fresh ideas to the table that amplify and recognize the results of co-workers and customers across our nation-wide base of employees.
  • Identify and research thought leadership topics and current events, suggesting ways we can insert ourselves into trending coverage across multiple digital mediums.
  • Scan key trade publications and business journals for competitor activity and recommend appropriate responses/action for our community.
  • Complete applications for industry awards and speaking opportunities, as needed.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and understanding marketing communications metrics related to PR, social, and other digital marketing platforms to gauge performance, optimize initiatives, as needed, and establish best practices and provide key insights to senior marketing leaders. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in public relations, marketing and/or journalism, preferably in the B2B space
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Experience working at a PR agency—responsible for writing, editing and pitching great content that ultimately landed coverage.

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with proven ability to execute against tight deadlines and drive multiple projects at once.
  • Self-motivated, strong communication, project management and organizational skills. Solid business acumen with a keen sense of urgency.
  • Combination of strong analytical and strategic thinking for insight with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Direct experience in software, digital or technology products.
  • Collaborative and willing to do what it takes to meet the goals of our team.
