The Customer Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving a key area of growth for the company by partnering with our customer success, marketing, and sales teams to develop and execute marketing programs that increase revenue and build brand loyalty with the rapidly growing ExtraHop customer base.

This individual contributor position will work closely with marketing leadership to develop and execute the strategy that will enable customers to derive more value from ExtraHop and increase the usage of our solutions across their organizations.  Similarly, by partnering closely with our customer success leadership team, the individual hired for this position will develop strategies and tactics to increase ExtraHop’s Net Retention Rate (NRR) and drive the adoption and usage of ExtraHop, while helping our customers maximize the value derived from their ExtraHop investment.  

The person hired in this role will report to the demand generation marketing team and will matrix across the broader organization with key stakeholders focused on delivering our revenue (ARR) and customer success KPIs (i.e. NRR and NPS).  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with marketing and customer success leadership to build and execute a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) customer lifecycle marketing program
  • Oversee program coordination and execution with input and collaboration from our customer success, sales, and marketing teams
  • Own the hands-on execution of all customer-based marketing programs including, but not limited to: account targeting, advertising, direct mail, webinars, events, and community-building platform(s)
  • Develop and execute cross- and up-sell campaigns to drive security product adoption, ensuring SecOps teams are aware of our Security offering and its multiple use cases. 
  • Develop and launch a customer communication program across all facets of the customer’s lifecycle that would include multiple marketing communication channels (e.g. email, advertising, and indirect mail). Using the defined customer-base lifecycle, create coordinating marketing communications for milestones such as: 
    • Newly purchased, 30/60/90 day onboarding 
    • Upcoming renewal
    • Holidays 
    • Major product/service releases 
    • Security updates
  • Own reporting on campaign program results and other KPIs as defined by marketing and customer success leadership
  • Contribute to the development of an ExtraHop customer community and ongoing programs to support our customers throughout their lifecycle (e.g. customer forums, user groups, advocacy, advisory boards, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Customer Marketing role for a SaaS-based technology company serving a B2B audience.  Ideally will also have at least 1 year of Security-industry experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Data-driven mindset - a curiosity for seeking out, collecting, and analyzing data to make business decisions
  • Collaborative in nature with the ability to build excellent rapport within marketing and customer success as well as across key organizations like sales, sales operations, and finance
  • Experience building, publishing, and communicating reports and providing internal updates that embody the efficacy of customer marketing programs
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com and ideally some hands-on familiarity with other data or marketing tools (e.g. Tableau, Eloqua, ABM tools - digital advertising and/or direct mail, etc.)
