About the Role

Simply put, one-to-many marketing tactics do not work in the multifamily industry. Our customers are bombarded with sales messages. With each looking and sounding exactly like the next, all are ignored. The best way to differentiate in this environment is to become hyper-focused on creating targeted campaigns that address the specific needs of our customer segments. 

 

The Demand Generation Director will be responsible for developing a demand generation campaign that will create pipeline for the Knock sales team and implementing the marketing automation tools necessary to support the campaigns. The perfect candidate will work very closely with the Sales team to develop 1:1 and 1:few campaigns that acquire and nurture opportunities. The role will report directly to the VP of Marketing and partner closely with the VP of Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with sales to understand revenue goals and define target accounts or segments.
  • Develop account-based and segment-specific demand generation strategy based on sales team goals.
  • Implement sales automation tools in order to execute outbound and nurture campaigns at scale.
  • Refine content and messaging to match customer persona and sales stage, driving prospects further down the funnel.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to successfully measure effectiveness of efforts and iterate.

Required Background, Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years experience developing demand generation strategy for a B2B SaaS businesses 
  • Demonstrated experience successfully collaborating with and enabling sales teams to be successful 
  • Experience executing account-based marketing programs in close partnership with sales
  • Expert knowledge of marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Hubspot, etc.) 
  • Strong, data-driven storyteller with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to assess, prioritize, pivot, and problem-solve across multiple projects
  • Combines curiosity and customer empathy to create exceptional customer experiences
