The Position

You: Apptio is seeking an experienced digital marketer with an emphasis on paid media to help execute our digital marketing programs in support of our demand generation and thought leadership goals.

In this position, you will work with the Manager, Digital Media and Channel and cross-functional peers in a variety of ways to help Apptio meet its buyers and customers where they are with the content that they need. You will manage our paid digital media budget, constantly seeking opportunities to optimize those investments globally against demand targets. You will use data to analyze and communicate the effectiveness of our digital investments.

Us: This role reports to the Manager, Global Media and Channel and will be a key contributor on a Marketing team with the goal of being best-in-class.

What we want you to do:

  • Manage all day-to-day operations, including ad trafficking, bid and budget management for the company's paid digital channels (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, ABM Platforms, Twitter, etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate not only breadth of PPC/SEM knowledge but also uncover opportunities within existing PPC/SEM platforms for R&D purposes and SEO opportunities.
  • Analyze all front-end campaigns within the ad platforms (CTRs, CPCs, Avg. Position etc.) as well as proprietary back-end data (Salesforce) and website analytics to optimize conversions from our target audiences.
  • Provide clear and specific direction to our design team on ad creative so we are creating best-in-class ad content with little back and forth.
  • Expand and test new opportunities and strategies to drive channel growth.
  • Communicate managed channel's performance and opportunities throughout the organization with frequent analysis and key performance metrics.
  • Evaluate and advise on the use of new technologies, staying at the forefront of developments in digital marketing, benchmarking trends and competitor data.
  • Contribute to our unpaid social channels for demand generation purposes

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in paid media and digital marketing
  • Direct and extensive experience managing paid customer acquisition through Google Ads (Google Ads certification a plus).
  • Solid knowledge of Google Analytics and/or other analytics platforms.
  • Experience with ABM advertising platforms a plus (Demandbase, RollWorks, Terminus)
  • Ability and eagerness to conduct research online and across social platforms and find “best of web” examples to model
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced technology-oriented environment
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort breaking down and attacking open ended problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to build strong relationships and communicate findings inside and outside of the organization.
  • International experience a plus
  • Ability to not only execute on paid media campaigns but work with external agencies or vendors to also drive results and best practices
