Job Description

The Dir, Internal Communications reporting to the VP, Corporate Marketing, has several primary key leadership & strategic responsibilities - engaging Accolade's 1,000+ employees, overseeing all internal communications activities and providing counsel and support for the senior leadership team. He/She will partner closely with stakeholders from across the company to ensure all communication activities fully align with company¡¦s strategic direction. Director will create and champion content, improve existing channels and evolve storytelling techniques - including video and digital. Ideal candidate will be comfortable leading change communication and drive a strong focus on adopting best practices and enhancing the value and impact of internal communications efforts.
 

A day in the life....

• Create and lead campaigns to build employee pride and engagement.
• Set the vision & direction for Accolade¡¦s internal communications; establish our communications strategy, develop and implement plans to execute strategy.
• Lead all company-wide employee communications, engaging Accolade's over 1,000 colleagues across multiple offices, keeping our people informed and inspired.
• Partner closely with Senior & Executive Leadership to establish an organizational narrative/key messages and work across channels to ensure the right message is getting to the right internal audience at the right time.
• Develop audience personas to better understand and reach our key internal audiences.
• Provide strategic communications expertise, counsel and support to executives.
• Align efforts with Accolade's brand.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field:

• 10+ years of leading internal communications
• Track record of building and scaling strategic plans and campaigns
• Demonstrated ability to build strategies aligned with business goals and company culture
• Outstanding ability to capture the executive¡¦s voice and elevate their content and presence
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong expertise and leadership skills, and aptitude to take informed, creative risks
• Ability and agility to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Confidence and poise to work closely with senior executives
• Strong passion for serving and understanding customers
• Ability to influence in multiple ways and build credibility quickly with key stakeholders and peers
• Strong sense of initiative and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Demonstrated experience in setting goals and developing ways to measure those goals
• Demonstrated ability to work across functional and geographic boundaries
