Funko is a purveyor of pop culture, making and selling license-focused collectibles. We’re based in Everett, WA where we have a store that delights kids of all ages (kids at heart included). We currently hold hundreds of licenses for franchises ranging from Marvel to Harry Potter, giving us the rights to create tens of thousands of characters—one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. We take your favorite characters and turn them into adorable, or sometimes scary, collectible figures. Our most famous line, Pop! Vinyl, has millions of fans around the world. 

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing new marketing campaigns as well as track, analyze, and maintain current marketing operations including SEO, Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, and Data Analysis. We are looking for someone advanced in online marketing thought processes and tactics, with a strong educational background and significant experience growing and managing internet marketing campaigns.

Your Superpowers in Action

  • Lead all marketing efforts, and the marketing team for Funko.
  • SEO – Continue to drive organic results by performing on-site and off-site SEO practices and analyzing results using analytics.
  • Social Media Marketing – Manage and maintain, as well as develop marketing programs for social media platforms.
  • Content Marketing – Continue to develop helpful articles and useful information to grow online presence. (Blog posts, instructional information, product merchandising, etc.)
  • Social Media – Post relevant content based on market demographics and segment, respond to customer inquiries, and foster and build an engaged community.
  • Data Analysis – Use a data-first mentality to understand performance and make pertinent decisions regarding the digital marketing aspect of the business using analytics and other reporting software.
  • General Marketing Activities – Perform other marketing activities as directed.
  • High-level digital strategy - Develop and implement high-level strategy across digital channels to achieve audience growth and engagement.
  • Manage social/digital marketing budgets and ROI.
  • Analytics – Actionable advanced analytics reporting. Includes: Google analytics, Social analytics, Marketing automation, and email marketing lead generation. Monitor, analyze and drive engagement rates for customers, residents and vendors through the use of social media outlets.

 

Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry

  • Knowledge in setting up, testing and optimizing internet marketing campaigns.
  • Industry Knowledge – Desire to research, keep up-to-date, and make recommendations and enhancements around the latest applications and trends surrounding social media.
  • Excellent people and management skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications, or in a technical field.
  • Four or more years’ experience in online marketing; ecommerce experience a huge plus.
