Position Summary:
The Customer Marketing team is dedicated to creating effortless member experiences that help educate and support our members. As an Email Marketing Specialist, you'll report to the Director of Digital Operations, and you'll be responsible for implementing email communications that engage, educate, and retain half a million pet owners.
We are looking for a dedicated marketer who has a bias for action and the drive to get stuff done, as well as an approach that delivers both creativity and data-based decision making.
Candidates for this position have the option to work remotely from anywhere in the US, or out of our Seattle office, depending on their preference.
Key Responsibilities Include:
As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the rapid growth of our company. This role will be responsible for building email campaigns, from audience segmentation to content design and layout through deploying large-volume campaigns according to best practices. You will work with marketing partners to test, optimize, and continuously improve both the process and results of our email marketing for members. You will be part of a team of marketers that delivers an exceptional experience for our members and strong results for our business, in a high-performing environment.

• Own the development and setup of marketing campaigns, including coding emails, creating audience segments, setting up automation, and driving continuous process improvements.
• Provide thorough quality assurance of emails pre-delivery, across mobile and desktop variants, and use standard methodologies for email delivery.
• Partner with Customer Marketing and our IT colleagues to launch, maintain, and evolve triggered and transactional email programs.
• Partner with Creative Services on optimization, responsiveness, and accessibility of email templates.
• Provide reporting on email campaign performance as well as insights and recommendations.
• Use A/B testing, segmentation, and behavioral targeting to maximize engagement.
• Run intake and status of all email marketing requests from the Customer Marketing team.

Qualifications (Please include a cover letter with your application!)
Experience:
Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related field

• 3+ years in email production and deployment using enterprise-level platforms such as Marketo (preferred), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or ExactTarget.
• Excellent responsive email coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, AMPscript).
• Familiarity with project management software such as Workfront, Wrike, or JIRA.
• Experience working on multivariate or multiregional campaigns.
• SQL knowledge preferred. Mobile marketing experience is a plus.
