The Job

As Email Marketing Specialist at Tango Card, you will directly drive engagement with our brand via creative, iterative, data-informed email campaigns! You love writing engaging, informational, and persuasive copy - and are naturally curious about how to optimize your reach through data collection and analysis.

In this role, you will craft email content and campaigns for a variety of customer profiles, use cases, and lifecycle stages. You will use performance data to revise and improve these campaigns, in order to achieve ambitious business growth goals. Tango Card is a collaborative organization, so you will be encouraged to work across all business groups, interacting with stakeholders of all levels.

While yes, you should be comfortable working in spreadsheets and analyzing data, you will not be required to design or code the emails yourself. We have an excellent in-house creative team to help with that! And while our tech stack is cutting edge, we are not requiring previous experience with our platforms. We are looking for the best human for the job, and are able to train & support as needed.

Reports To: Sr. Marketing Automation Manager

As Email Marketing Analyst at Tango Card, you will:

  • Write copy & coordinate production of ongoing acquisition and nurture campaigns for multiple, distinct target audiences.
  • Write copy & coordinate production of several customer newsletters.
  • Serve as the liaison for coordinating and carrying out ad-hoc customer messaging.
  • Work with our Sr. Marketing Automation Manager to explore strategy, build campaigns, test varied creative messaging, and optimize channels to hit internal goals.
  • Implement and execute ongoing testing regimen - including subject lines, layout, format, frequency, and more - to continuously improve email performance based on engagement.
  • Support the marketing team in capturing performance data and reporting on post-campaign results.
  • Aid additional marketing efforts.

To be effective in our Email Marketing Analyst role, you must have:

  • Excellent written communication!!!
  • Professional Soft Skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with different teams, customers, or organizations.
  • Analytical mentality, with the ability to track & report on campaign performance metrics.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver results while working on concurrent projects.

Our ideal Email Marketing Analyst at Tango Card will have most of the following skills and experience:

  • A BA or BS in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 1+ years of B2B email marketing, demand gen, field marketing, or sales experience.
  • Experience with HubSpot and/or MailChimp. Experience with Salesforce or other enterprise CRM.
