The Challenge
The Global Communications and Strategic Initiatives team is looking for a seasoned Global Communications Leader to work closely with Qualtrics executives and leaders to lead the company’s PR vision, strategy, and program. This individual will be a trusted, senior advisor to the Qualtrics executive team and provide strategic counsel on external-facing matters that affect the company’s brand and reputation. This individual will oversee a team of public relations and analyst relations leaders.
The Global Communications Leader will:
- Define the global communications vision and strategy, and lead an experienced PR team to deliver measurable impact aligned with the goals established by the Qualtrics executive team
- Build and activate PR campaigns that advance Qualtrics’ mission and strategy and further establish Qualtrics as the creator and leader of the experience management category
- Serve as the day-to-day communications partner for the Qualtrics executive team
- Develop executive communications platforms for Qualtrics’ executive leaders, including speaking engagements, interviews, and byline opportunities
- Create programs related to financial communications, crisis and issues management, public affairs, and more
- Oversee the Analyst Relations team to develop a cohesive strategy for key analyst rankings
- Build a strong PR team and develop existing team members
- Serve as a Qualtrics spokesperson as needed for media or other public speaking engagements
- Manage relationships with various industry and business reporters, editors, influencers, and bloggers
- Lead and manage relationship with external PR agency and other external resources
- Work cross-functionally with executives, marketing, sales, customer success, partners, subject-matter experts, and researchers to develop compelling content and stories
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in public relations, ideally combination of in-house and agency, with a focus on global communications, media relations, and issues management
- Direct experience in enterprise software / SaaS industry
- Demonstrated ability to establish a corporate narrative and global communications program
- Have an executive presence and experience in serving as a spokesperson in sensitive situations
- Experience leading and building successful teams
- Proven media relations skills and well-developed network of relationships with top-tier business and technology outlets
- Proven writing and storytelling skills and a strong track record of developing written content without jargon
- Experience working at a PR agency leading media outreach efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related field
