About the Position

The Global Head of Public Sector Marketing crafts and delivers our messaging, positioning, and solutions for our customers and prospects in government as part of the Industry Marketing team. This is a critical function that ensures the capabilities and performance of our products are communicated to customers and prospects in terms they identify with and find compelling. 

You will be a part of Qumulo’s Industry Marketing team responsible for the positioning, messaging, and integrated go-to-market for Qumulo’s efforts in strategically important industries (e.g. Media & Entertainment, Healthcare, Public Sector, and more). The role will apply knowledge of Public Sector technology and business trends, customer areas of concern and investment, and buying centers in customer organizations to drive Qumulo’s Public Sector business forward.

The Global Head of Public Sector Marketing works closely with Product Marketing and Product Management to take products to market in the Public Sector, and then create the core campaign content and resources needed by the organizations who engage with our customers and prospects: Sales, Customer Success, Events, Field and Partner Marketing, and Demand Generation. 

This role will build go-to-market strategies, build campaigns, and support solutions and use cases for the Public Sector, contribute to thought leadership, and open up new opportunities for Qumulo and our partners. You will keep tabs on developments and capabilities across the Qumulo product portfolio and key customer use cases and map these to customer needs in the Public Sector. You will collaborate with sales and marketing leaders to produce the content and opportunities necessary for the Qumulo field organization and our partners to drive revenue growth in the Public Sector. You will be expected to be our chief advocate and evangelist for Qumulo in the Public Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute the GTM plan for Public Sector, with partnership and buy-in from Marketing, Sales, Product, and other teams
  • Own messaging for Qumulo for Public Sector
  • Influence and advocate for Public Sector feature requests, product enhancements, solutions, and use cases
  • Build key sales tools including presentations, solution briefs, case studies, and other collateral
  • Represent Qumulo in press interviews, analyst briefings, customer engagements, and at conferences
  • Develop close relationships with partners to communicate product positioning and drive development of new partner-led GTM efforts in Public Sector
  • Deliver content to support various stages of the buyer’s journey and demand generation activities

Requirements

  • 7+ years of marketing or go-to-market experience in enterprise software, with a preference for Public Sector
  • Amazing written and verbal communication skills, including ability to craft positioning and messaging, build effective content for internal and external audiences, and deliver compelling presentations
  • Technical understanding of the competitive landscape in storage, including server hardware manufacturers. 
  • Experience planning and executing launches, including working within a tight timeline, securing customer references, and creating sales training and enablement materials for the field and partners
  • Experience building and executing a go-to-market strategy, including thought leadership and demand generation campaigns for Public Sector
  • Ability to represent Qumulo at various speaking engagements, including conferences, press interviews, and analyst briefings
  • Self-starter who truly enjoys working in (and thrives in) a fast-paced, high growth, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to lead through persuasion and influence across a cross-functional team
  • Requires some domestic and international travel
