About the Role:

The Marketing Automation Associate will be a key member of the team responsible for implementation and maintenance of PitchBook's Martech stack. Responsibilities will include daily building, monitoring and maintenance of lead routing scripts, tool integration, and system performance reporting.

To put all that more plainly: this is an entry-level/early career job, and it's going to mean that you're going to help out with a lot of the grunt work. But if you're smart, hard-working and eager to learn, we promise you'll pick up some very valuable skills such Marketing Automation/Marketo, Excel, SQL, and Python if haven't already. Most importantly, you'll get a chance to work on some intellectually challenging puzzles (e.g. "which leads should our reps prioritize reaching out to and when and how often?"), the solving of which will end up making our Sales reps more successful and maybe give you a chance to look like a hero.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with Marketing and Sales leaders to ensure leads are flowing appropriately using our internal routing products, Marketo, and other marketing automation tools
  • Be directly responsible for solutions and systems that Marketing builds for our Sales and Customer Success teams
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing lead routing requirements
  • Communicate with the Sales and Customer Success teams about upcoming and ongoing projects
  • Identify and troubleshoot programmatic, logic and data issues
  • Basic scripting/programming to automate transfer of data between systems
  • Assist with reporting, collecting data, performance analysis, and generating reports using Marketo, Salesforce, Mode, Excel and SQL
  • Drive improvements in all aspects of PitchBook's marketing automation and demand gen operations
  • Help facilitate the production of marketing assets needed for campaigns
  • Build and test emails, campaigns and web forms

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of work experience (B2B tech experience preferred)
  • Experience with Python or other scripting language preferred
  • Experience with SQL preferred
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online acquisition
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience in using email marketing software is a plus
  • Team player, able to work with global cross-functional teams
  • High energy with the ability to multitask, be detail-oriented and work well under pressure and within tight deadlines in a fast paced, changing environment
