Job Summary
LevelTen Energy is looking first and foremost for a writer. A writer who has quickly absorbed and become productive in a technical industry. A writer who is already in the renewable energy industry or excited to join it because the mission is personally meaningful. A writer who is equally comfortable with long-form and short-form content. A writer who can understand our customers’ point of view and craft a persuasive message accordingly. A writer who can distill complex, jargon-filled material into clear and compelling content. A writer that knows what’s wrong with this sentence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but, are not limited to:
- Write content for a variety of promotional materials, including company brochures, product one-sheets, case studies and sales presentations;
- Draft email copy for marketing campaigns and customer communications;
- Draft blog posts, press releases and talking points about company news;
- Contribute to slide decks for sales presentations, events and webinars;
- Produce industry reports, whitepapers and educational content with input from analytics and sales teams;
- Write and update copy as needed for LevelTenEnergy.com;
- Manage simultaneous projects, prioritize requests and meet deadlines;
- Collaborate with sales, product and analytics teams to understand objectives and gather information for marketing materials.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years experience writing for a business;
- Demonstrated experience quickly learning and becoming productive in a new and complex technical industry;
- Knowledge of content marketing best practices;
- Ability to produce error-free content quickly;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- A can-do attitude and willingness to learn from feedback;
- Experience with PowerPoint, website CMS systems, and InDesign preferred.
