About the Role:
The Marketing Manager of Multicultural Media and Outreach will work with the team to grow Remitly's customer base and improve customer experience. Reporting to the Director of Multicultural Media and Outreach (MMO), you'll support the strategy, planning, execution, analysis, and optimization of your assigned channels and corridors.
You will work across both multicultural media channels and be a lead for our Africa Community Outreach program. We are looking for a cultural expert who can connect on-the-ground with potential customers in North America from Africa, SE Asia, and other geographies. We are especially looking for an audio expert -- someone who understands this channel both programmatically and terrestrially, from DJs to sponsorships -- you can take this channel to the next level for Remitly.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the Director of MMO to develop a test and learn agenda that helps unlock new channels to accelerate performance
- Maintain existing programs in the audio space and develop roadmap for scaling across North America
- Partner with Product Marketing to ensure their plans are met in a way that best suits the audience and the channels
- Build a test/learn agenda for unlocking community programs to reach African immigrants in North America
- Obsess over data and understand campaign metrics to set best practices and improve buys, overall engagement, and conversions.
- Help prepare forecasts and performance reports that monitor essential media metrics quality and campaign performance
- Monitor competitive media and marketing strategies
Who You Are
- You juggle strategy development, in-depth tactical execution, plan stewardship, and invoice reconciliation with ease
- You understand the cultural nuances of reaching customers of our African send corridors, and strategize accordingly
- 3+ years experience in offline marketing activities and media planning (TV, radio, print, out of home, etc.)
- You've led community/grassroots/events marketing for African immigrant communities
- Desire to make a difference with an amazing organization
- You can walk in the customer's shoes and advocate on their behalf
- You use data to guide your marketing decisions
- You feel at home working with diverse cultures, target audiences, and languages
