Partners play a key role in the success of how Chef helps companies achieve their digital transformation goals. Chef is looking for an outstanding individual to help us take our partner marketing to the next level. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing world-class partner marketing activities in conjunction with our cloud, SI, and ISV partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with our Partner team to create marketing plans based on our go-to-market strategies
  • Creating and managing a scorecard of key performance indicators that measure the impact of our partner marketing
  • Planning marketing campaigns and strategies that deliver business objectives around new leads, achieving revenue goals, and creating awareness of new products and initiatives among target customer segments
  • Building effective relationships with marketing teams at our named partners to build and execute joint marketing plans and campaigns
  • Identifying the content requirements and creating the specific assets necessary for both to and through partner marketing
  • Partnering with teams across Chef marketing (field, event, and revenue marketing) to jointly execute events and campaigns
  • Leading partner-centric events, including planning, messaging and execution
  • Delivering partner marketing sourced leads to Chef and partner sales organizations for follow up
  • Managing Chef participation in partner network programs pertaining to joint marketing activities.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Proven success planning and executing marketing campaigns for a software/SaaS company
  • Experience in digital, event, and sales enablement program development
  • A track record of building partnerships that deliver both great collaboration and results with partners (system integrators/ISVs a plus)
  • A background in communicating technical value propositions to business decision makers and practitioners through digital and print assets
  • Strong project management and communication skills, plus the ‘drive for results’ necessary in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience marketing to/working with developers and IT professionals

Requirements include:

  • A BA/BS degree, English/Communications/Business preferred. MBA a plus but not required
  • 5-7 years of experience in partner, product or field marketing for a technology company
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrable experience creating collateral (sales sheets, email/web copy, white papers) that clearly explain technical topics in business value terms
  • Exceptional skills in business software (Microsoft Office/Google GSuite)
