An SEM Media Buying Manager leads a team of performance Buyers on the SEM team. Your role is to leverage experience, organizational skills, communication, and leadership ability to guide your team’s operations while providing encouraging and constructive feedback as needed to the team.

What You Can Expect on the Team

  • Monitor business fluctuations and identify areas to investigate with Pod Leads to prepare and communicate status updates to managers
  • Ensure team follows roadmap and executes toward deadlines
  • Develop and execute strategic plans with the team
  • Build Manager empowerment through coaching and mentoring expertise, skills, gaps in expectations, and delegation
  • Proactively identify potential problems and risks for the business, short and long term
  • Determine goals and priorities for the team and assess time, resources, and action needed to achieve those goals
  • Coordinate quarterly business review information and presentations with pod leads
  • Prioritize team initiatives to give the appropriate focus for the highest business impact and communicate clearly quarterly team goals
  • Identify resourcing needs for the team and be part of the hiring process
  • Develop team members and understand their career goals, helping to find opportunities aligning with their career aspirations
  • Find ways to evolve the team to be efficient and effective, being aware of when to address individual or team performance issues
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities, giving the appropriate level of authority to the right people, taking into account their interests, ambitions, development, and competency
  • Leverage buying expertise and business knowledge in leadership meetings to contribute to decision making and planning
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, product, tooling, and optimization team from a strategic role and help to drive the team execution to deadlines and success of those projects

What You Can Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years leading teams
  • Minimum 3 years in Marketing or similar industry
  • Experience leading teams 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Powerpoint and Excel
  • Ability to leverage data and reports 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive, driven, collaborative management style
  • Comfortable being agile and able to shift priorities when needed
  • Keeping things fun, making people feel appreciated, and career opportunities are a main focus while hitting challenging goals
