Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or marketing field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of technology marketing experience in information security, positioning security monitoring and related security products
  • Experience building assets and marketing content.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Enterprise/cloud marketing experience.
  • Experience planning and executing marketing programs.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple engineering and marketing teams.
  • Ability as a product advocate.

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

Security is a key differentiator for Google Cloud. Assuring customers about our security and building their trust in our security capabilities is paramount to our success. Trust and Security Product Marketing is responsible for building out and communicating our Security message to internal and external audiences. This means making our solution and product value propositions real through the creation of product narratives, technology showcases and hands-on experiences, and working to scale our messages and technical content through a range of different channels.

As a Product Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving marketing for a range of security capabilities that help organizations monitor and improve their security posture on Google Cloud Platform. You will build a strong technical aptitude, leadership skills and business acumen. You'll generate high-impact ideas, prioritize workloads, manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Work and collaborate with other marketing and engineering functions to define and deliver Google Cloud Platform security technology value proposition.
  • Drive awareness of Google Cloud Platform Security Products in the market and engage with influencers.
  • Create innovative marketing campaigns and technology showcases for Google Cloud Platform Security products.
  • Partner with engineering to develop and deliver industry leading product demonstrations for major events.
