Who we're looking for

The role of Product Marketing Manager has primary responsibility for go-to-market strategies and sales enablement to maximize demand, adoption, and overall market success. This role will work closely with the executive team and offers the opportunity to have a huge impact on growing and scaling the organization. This role spans strategic and implementation duties and requires excelling at both. The Product Marketing Manager will report directly to the VP of Marketing. 

What you'll do

Company direction focused

  • Identify opportunities and develop strategies to grow demand and expand the market for Shiftboard products
  • Define market requirements (documented in MRDs) for use by the internal team to develop new products and enhance existing ones
  • Perform competitive and market analysis, and translate analysis into strategic insight Shiftboard can leverage
  • Through a deep understanding of Shiftboard’s products and market space, determine company and product positioning and look for focus areas where Shiftboard can be identified as the clear marketing leader

Product and go-to-market focused

  • Own, develop, and continually improve product messaging and positioning based on an understanding of use cases, customer requirements, competitors, and knowledge of Shiftboard solutions
  • Build and maintain buyer/user personas and customer journey maps across key segments
  • Plan the launch of new products and releases, publish cross-functional go-to-market plans, and manage the implementation of the plan
  • Champion the business success of Shiftboard products, collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to optimize revenue and market share

Sales enablement focused

  • Serve as the primary product evangelist for marketing efforts via webinars, blog articles, events, analyst, and press briefings to generate market awareness and interest in Shiftboard solutions
  • Serve as a solution SME to the sales team, deliver ing training, tools, and content to support and drive sales

Partner-focused

  • Own the success of key go-to-market partnerships that enable partners to maximize their success in referring or reselling Shiftboard products

Qualifications and skills you'll need

  • Successful track record in Product Marketing with B2B SaaS experience
  • 5+ years of professional marketing experience
  • A degree in a marketing or related field, MBA preferred
  • Solid knowledge of software technologies
  • Strong market and competitive research skills
  • Experience with go-to-market strategy and execution
  • Experience building marketing requirements and business cases
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong content development acumen
  • Results oriented with a can-do attitude
  • Extremely comfortable in a fast growth start-up environment
