Ekata is seeking a tenacious Public Relations & Social Media Manager to join our diverse and growing global Marketing team. This role reports directly to the Head of Global Marketing and provides the exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the company through domestic and international public relations and communication efforts. We need a PR guru to nurture strong industry networks, increase Ekata brand and thought leadership awareness, and execute effective communication and media relations programs in North America, EMEA and APAC.

In the Public Relations & Social Media Manager role, you will:

  • Define, develop, and oversee end-to-end execution of Ekata’s PR and social strategy/programs to drive awareness and our leadership position in global markets and key verticals. 
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with our PR agency, key journalists, bloggers, and other influencers in technology trade and business press.
  • Manage all PR and social media content creation and calendar planning, in collaboration with the global demand generation and product marketing teams, including Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. 
  • Prospect, manage, and submit for conference speaking sessions, company rankings, awards, and other promotional opportunities; track outcomes in appropriate external and internal properties.
  • Regularly interact with internal subject matter experts across Sales, Marketing, Account Services, Product, HR, and Engineering to influence strategy and create compelling content, announcements, and messaging.
  • Craft written materials, including press releases, blogs, memos, pitches, statements, Q&As, and more.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current industry news and social landscapes; closely watch and evaluate trends to support storytelling efforts.
  • Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges and be able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Drive meaningful engagement, interact with followers, increase overall follower-base, and measure and report on appropriate metrics.
  • Manage budget and reporting to prove executional excellence of our PR and social strategy

Our ideal Public Relations & Social Media Manager will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing public relations and social media accounts/campaigns
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field
  • Outstanding attention to detail, understanding of technology, and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
  • Exceptional project management, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Success within a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment with a strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and multi-task across campaigns & projects.
  • Demonstrable social analytics tools knowledge; ability to explain complex social media data in an understandable way
  • A knack for diplomacy and the confidence to engage and build consensus with functional leaders at all levels
  • Ability to track, interpret and report on engagement KPIs and metrics
