About the Role

We’re looking for someone who can build the Esper brand and share the Esper story globally. You’ll promote Esper through a strong PR and communications program, targeted and relevant content and messaging, social media, and a thought leadership narrative. It’s the perfect role for a driven and engaged senior leader with a successful track record of building and leading, brand, programs, and PR globally. 


The Sr Director of Corporate Marketing must have experience across public relations, brand development, creative, digital marketing, social media, and thought leadership campaigns. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across Executive Leadership, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Partner Management, and Customer Success.

What You'll Have Ownership of

  • Brand, Voice, and External Communications. Define and steward the Esper brand ensuring consistency in voice, presence, tone, and activation across channels and touchpoints.
  • Develop a roadmap for the Esper brand which creates strategic differentiation from our competitors and delivers high perceived value to our target buyers. You will evolve and manage the process for evolving the brand identity, pillars, and narratives.
  • Own corporate messaging that resonates with our prospects, customers, and partners and enables the company to land credibly amongst enterprise customers.
  • Drive brand awareness and increase organic & referral website traffic through PR, social media, and brand campaign plays.
  • PR & Social Media. Define strategy for corporate marketing activities executed across all external channels - brand, content, web, social, and PR.
  • Develop PR and Media strategy demonstrating Esper’s market leadership, thought leadership, and unique position in the market as the DevOps for Devices leader (including partners).
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of the media ecosystem and grow Esper’s reputation among the press as a trusted leader in the space.
  • Develop creative and non-traditional marketing and PR plays that generate awareness, buzz, and position Esper as a creative thought leader that others look towards for best in category marketing.
  • Awards and accolades. Identify and secure targeted awards and accolades for Esper including (but not limited to) platform excellence, service and support, employer excellence.
  • Content Marketing. Partner with Product Marketing to develop Esper’s editorial and content strategy with a focus on thought leadership plays, compelling buyer targeted content, and industry-leading articles and content.
  • Build topically relevant long-form content (whitepapers, guides, other) that increase demand and drive engagement.
  • Continually track metrics and performance to identify high-performing content and programs by applying data and insights to improve content performance.

You Have The Following Skills And Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate marketing in the software industry, preferably having built a new or emerging category.
  • Proven track record developing and executing successful B2B corporate communications, content, and brand campaigns.
  • Skilled and proven experience bringing new campaigns and ideas to life.
  • Experience with SaaS offerings.
  • Experience leading the development of exciting and effective awareness and brand marketing campaigns that influence c-suite and functional buyers.
  • Track record of evolving a brand’s position to a new market category that aligns it with current market and customer priorities.
  • Proven track record in building, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans, and staying focused on “getting it done” in a fast-moving environment.
  • Able to coordinate across many teams and perform in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Proven ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with the ability to explain and translate complex concepts into simple and intuitive communications.
  • Uses data to measure results and inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Experienced in building and managing high-performing teams.
