Lyft is looking for a motivated, creative and highly organized Senior Marketing Associate to join our Seattle team. In this role, you will help build and scale marketing efforts at a local level. You will also help with executing grassroots marketing initiatives that build up the Lyft brand and increase brand awareness. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategize on local marketing strategy based on insights and brand objectives
  • Identify opportunities for Lyft to insert itself into cultural moments and create social conversation
  • Generate original ideas for experiential activations to drive passenger acquisition and engagement, then see those ideas through to execution and measurement
  • Manage marketing partnerships with varied organizations, representing the Lyft brand with external stakeholders
  • Create integrated communications strategies to tell the Lyft story locally via owned and paid channels
  • Manage logistical implementation of events and special marketing initiatives

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferably within marketing, PR, communications or similar field)
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience required 
  • Currently live in, and have a strong knowledge of, the greater Seattle community (top events, venues, hotels, associations, nonprofits, neighborhoods, etc.)
  • Experience creating strategic communications plans across owned and paid channels
  • Experience managing and executing events
  • Strong communication skills is a must
  • Experience with partnership/sponsorship marketing preferred
  • Creative thinker, who enjoys brainstorming, coming up with big ideas and can think outside the box
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently - once you’re clear on the task at hand, you are able to run with it and take it up a notch
  • Impeccably organized and strong project management skills
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and information to internal and external audiences
  • Able to thrive when balancing multiple projects at once and meeting multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment where things move quickly and priorities can change
  • Ability to work occasional late/odd/weekend hours depending on event needs
  • Experience creating decks in PowerPoint/Google Docs
  • Experience analyzing business metrics and consumer insights data is a plus
