Skilljar is looking for a passionate, customer-focused Marketing Operations Specialist to join our fast-growing Marketing team!

This exciting opportunity will tap into your project management, attention to detail, analytical, and interpersonal skills to drive the successful management and creation of marketing campaigns and help drive performance improvements across Marketing. You will play a key role running our technology stack, analyzing marketing performance, finding opportunities for improvement, documenting and maintaining processes across various channels. Effectively being the hub of the wheel, you’ll ensure the smooth and timely process flow between all departments.

Marketing Operations not only makes sure “the trains run on time”, but also has an eye on the future to improve the business. Your charter is to determine how we can better scale marketing more efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement projects that will help improve campaign performance and scale the department efficiently
  • Partner with the marketing team, providing operational (campaign set up and execution) and analytical support
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to automate processes, evaluate targeting capabilities, and assess opportunities for improving data and system integrations
  • Proactively monitor marketing funnel and campaign metrics (conversion rates, campaign attribution, email performance) and produce actionable insights
  • Analyze the effectiveness of our lead scoring model and lead assignment processes to ensure a smooth flow of qualified leads to the Sales team
  • Support our ABM efforts, bringing together the tools and data to assist account selection, contact identification, and performance evaluation
  • Assist defining email program strategy, operations, and processes
  • Field custom requests, capabilities questions; investigate issues and technical problems with the email platform or other internal tools
  • Provide support and quality assurance for email campaign builds and other marketing efforts via marketing automation platform (workflows, list building, template management, etc)
  • Manage data cleansing, enrichment, and list uploads to ensure effective lead scoring and segmentation

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years working experience with marketing automation platforms, like HubSpot, Eloqua, or Marketo
  • 1-2 years working experience with CRM, preferably SFDC
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, and comfortable with the import/export of data from software tools, like Salesforce
  • Understanding of B2B funnels, sales pipelines, and how the mechanisms are implemented to control proper lead flow
  • Ability to prioritize and manage various projects based on changing business needs
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence others without formal authority and lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing priorities
  • HTML / CSS content creation and some understanding of JavaScript is desired
  • Well organized individual who is committed to detail and excellence and has experience driving internal processes
  • The ability to synthesize data, summarize issues, and think creatively is critical
