About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to join our Growth Marketing team to help bring our story to market while building an online community for CHROs and fair pay professionals to network, learn, share expertise, and find opportunities to partner with us on market-facing initiatives. We are looking for someone who is passionate about fair pay and fairness at work, and who can grow and develop our brand’s practice across social media. In this role, you will work closely with our Director of Growth Marketing, and the rest of the marketing team to amplify Syndio’s mission of fairness at work to our communities and beyond. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to major moments for our brand, and drive real results around engaging our community members.

 Core Responsibilities

  • Own our organic social media channels: posting regularly with Syndio and industry content; engaging with followers and influencers; and generally growing Syndio presence and brand awareness within relevant social communities (ex: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, online forums, etc.)
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Syndio customer and marketplace, and a strong point-of-view on how those should inform our social media strategy 
    • Create unique social strategies for each channel and develop creative social campaigns
    • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily with a consistent brand voice and look, in various formats -- videos, gifs, text, polls, slideshows, etc.
    • Help educate, entertain, and provide value to customers and attract our buyer personas
    • Build a social community around our brand
  • Develop relationships with internal teams to stay abreast of content creation and messaging opportunities on behalf of the company and executive team
  • Create a process for distributing relevant content to the internal team to share on their own social channels, including the executive/leadership team; have the ability to draft social content that speaks to these different audiences when/if needed
  • Host conversations with employees, customers, influencers and thought leaders; build a strategy around doing these on a recurring basis; host social media AMAs, Twitter Chats, LinkedIn and Instagram Lives
  • Answer any customer questions via social channels and triage customer success/service inquiries
  • Source community members to participate in thought leadership webinars, podcasts, interviews/Q&As, etc,; build a strategy around doing these on a recurring basis
  • Identify and champion new, innovative areas and channels for growth; stay on top of the social media industry, new trends and channels
  • Connect with industry experts and thought leaders for co-social media marketing campaigns 
  • Develop social media components for brand-building and revenue-driving campaigns and events
  • Set objectives & KPIs such as followers, reach, engagement, traffic, lead generation, etc. and create reporting dashboard

About You

  • You have 5-7 years of experience of marketing experience (proven work experience in social media); 3+ B2B SaaS experience
  • You have a deep understanding of various social media channels
  • You bring a customer-centric marketing approach to campaigns
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • You are able to identify, track and measure relevant KPIs (social engagement, audience growth, etc.)
  • You are proficient with a typical marketing tech stack—marketing automation system (HubSpot/Marketo), WordPress, social monitoring tools, G Suite, etc.
  • You bring a deep desire to engage and build trust with an audience
  • You enjoy learning and are eager to experiment with new channels and tactics;  you keep a pulse on trends
  • You are passionate about our mission to close pay gaps and create fairness in the workplace
  • You are resourceful; you seek creative solutions when faced with obstacles 
  • Your actions and decisions are data-driven and results-oriented
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • You have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, especially among marketing, sales, sales development, and sales operations teams

Impact

  • Within 2 months, you’ll be fully ramped.
  • Within 3 months, the training wheels come off and you’ll be helping the team roll by doing those things listed above.
  • Within 6 months, you’ve established some momentum, are confident in your role, and are starting to provide input into other areas of the business and how we can improve efficiency based on what you’re learning.
  • Within 12 months, we’ll wonder how we ever managed without you.

Location

Our company is currently considered fully remote with the intention to go hybrid and get an office in Seattle where about 25% of our company resides. Until then, the team will often get together for coffee or lunch or after work cocktails to connect in person.
