SEO Senior Strategist

Your Next Challenge:
As the Sr. Search Engine Optimization Strategist for Getty Images, you will be responsible for optimizing vast enterprise websites for search engine performance. You will be responsible for supporting the tactical SEO activities required to meet Getty Images’ business objectives. The ideal candidate collaborates well with cross-functional teams, has a love of leveraging big data and analytics, and uses data to tell stories and drive impactful change.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in leading SEO and search-discovery projects including business case creation, requirements gathering, kickoff, development, testing, launch and KPI analysis
- Be able to clearly communicate technical requirements to both tech-savvy and non-technical stakeholders
- Research and analyze industry changes/developments in search engine optimization and search discovery across multiple channels and programs
- Participate in analyzing and diagnosing technical website issues that impact SEO
- Create and present written recommendations, reports, and presentations
- Assist in training internal teams to follow SEO best practices
Technical Knowledge:
- Technical SEO expertise, with enterprise-level websites experience preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge of crawling and indexation factors, especially regarding use of JavaScript
- Demonstrate knowledge of page rendering and load speed factors
- Demonstrate firm understanding of on-site and off-site ranking factors
- Ability to perform advanced research and analysis using large, diverse data sets
- Ability to use advanced web analytics
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Marketing, Business or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SEO, web development, or web analytics
- Demonstrate knowledge of search engine crawling, indexation and ranking factors
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript understanding
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Analytics
- Ability to create meaningful business reports and tell stories with data
- Experience with SQL or other databases and Python or other scripting languages preferred
- Splunk / log file analysis preferred
- Experience with international websites preferred
