Short films, documentaries, fantastic social content...whatever it takes. We're creating VR to provide empathy training so officers are empowered to de-escalate situations in nonlethal ways (Yes!). Reporting to the Social Media Director, Axon is looking for an energetic Social Media Coordinator who is ready to join a team of incredible marketers to help lead the future of social for Axon. The ideal candidate will showcase an in-depth understanding of major and emerging social media platforms, their individual audiences and how each platform can be leveraged to gain unique marketing value for Axon. We're looking for a self-starter who is obsessed with building engaging, authentic content to drive meaningful conversation and build awareness with the expertise to monitor, analyze and test to deliver on Axon's social media goals. Loving the intersection of social media, technology, sports and current culture is super important while being obsessed with metric driven results to ensure the success of Axon's social media presence.
  • Own the execution of the social program - scheduling posts, promoting content, managing the community, and reporting on performance
  • Manage reporting of social metrics and report out to key stakeholders while also being able to identify wins/losses in content based metrics
  • Managing all brand advocate/influencer relationships while also identifying future opportunities to support increased brand awareness for key audiences/channels
  • Provide and complete excellent community management across key platforms that is on tone with Axon's voice and brand
  • Ability to capture content at live events / experiences for real time social content
  • Continuously identify new trends, from channels to content, to inform future social strategy and opportunities
  • Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit
  • 3+ years of experience in a Social Marketing role, for a mid-size to large, culturally relevant brand
  • Must be an expert on planning out content and building followings across different social media platforms, their respective participants and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Stellar written and verbal communication, with the ability to capture and replicate an authentic voice of a brand and individual.
  • Ability to look at data, analyze, and draw valued insights and have a deep understanding of social algorithms to optimize the channels
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams, functions, and agencies, driving alignment and managing deadlines.
  • Knowledge of online community sites and groups (Reddit, Discord, Facebook Groups, etc.) as well as emerging channels that may be a part of the future for Axon's social strategy
