The Company You’ll Join

At Carta we create owners and make private markets liquid.

We live in a world where some people live on the equity stack and enjoy exponential wealth growth and preferential tax treatment; others live on the debt stack and may work their entire lives for a company and retire only with the cash they’ve managed to save from their paychecks. Our contribution to solving the wealth inequality problem is moving people from the debt stack (payroll) to the equity stack. By making it as easy to issue equity to employees as it is to put them on payroll, we can create more owners.

At Carta, we are helpful, transparent, fair, and kind. We are relentless executors, unconventional thinkers, and masters of our craft.

The Team You’ll Work With

The Editorial & Content Team is a scrappy team of content strategists and journalists. We’re passionate about democratizing equity ownership, increasing access to financial education, bringing valuable insights and data to the venture ecosystem, and spreading the word about Carta.

The team sits within the Marketing team, which encompasses Content, Brand Marketing, Internal/External Communications, Business Development, Web Presence, and Policy. Your teammates have created and sold TV shows in Hollywood, won on Jeopardy!, written political speeches heard by thousands, and led the rebrand of Carta from eShares.

The Problems You’ll Solve

Carta is lucky to work with thousands of brilliant founders, investors, and employees. Our social media team will create the most relevant, compelling social feed telling stories by and for the entire venture ecosystem.

  • Write to excite our various audiences and to compel engagement; your content will embody our brand voice and drive people to learn more about venture, equity ownership, business investing, the equity gap, and so much more
  • Partner with stakeholders across multiple business units to craft an approach and social content that achieve their goals while working within our brand guidelines
  • Monitor the social inbox for inquiries and respond to questions in a timely manner
  • Stay up to date on new platform features and ways Carta can stand out in the feed
  • Manage content publication across all social platforms
  • Report on our social goals and results

About You

You are a curious and independent thinker who loves developing relationships, building community, and driving results. You are interested in getting to know the venture ecosystem, equity fundamentals, and the needs of Carta’s customers: from founders and investors to startup employees and law firms. You have experience as a community manager and reporting on results. You can find the most meaningful insights in a piece of writing and turn that into digestible and compelling social media content.

You have experience owning social channels for a company in the venture ecosystem, financial services, fintech, a regulated industry or other B2B brand. You have reported on and owned metrics and results for all social channels.

Covid Vaccine Policy

In an effort to safeguard the health of our employees, Carta has implemented a policy requiring all new hires to receive the COVID vaccine (including boosters as the individuals become eligible for them). Proof of vaccination will be required as a condition of employment. Carta will continue to comply with applicable laws regarding the reasonable accommodation of individuals with disabilities and/or strongly held religious beliefs. This policy is part of Carta’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and community, and to support public health efforts.

We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing a positive interview experience for every candidate. If accommodations due to a disability or medical condition are needed, connect with us via email at [email protected]. As a company, we value fairness, helpfulness, transparency, leadership and build our teams around these values.
