Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring an Experienced Mechanical Component Failure Analyst (Level 3) to join our Equipment Quality team in Seattle, WA.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform failure analyses of airplane hydraulic and/or mechanical components to determine the cause of failure
  • Emphasis on bench testing skills, component disassembly, technical evaluation, precision measurement, analytical reasoning and report writing
  • Maintain a working knowledge of airplane components, related systems and supporting technical documentation
  • Develop test methods to replicate failure modes
  • Lead analysis teams comprised of Suppliers, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, airline representatives and government representatives
  • Prepare formal technical reports of investigation results for internal and/or external customers to include government agencies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and failure analysis
  • 3+ years of experience testing hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems
  • 1+ years of experience writing technical reports
  • 1+ years of experience leading multiple projects at the same time
  • Must be able to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience precision measurement equipment & GD&T
  • 1+ years of experience working with customers in production, engineering departments, airline industry or governmental agencies

Summary Pay Range: $95,200 - $128,800
