Administrative Assistant, Escrow Operations

This role partners closely with closing teams to ensure that every “t” is crossed, and every “i” is dotted, and we’re adding team members who are excited about continuing to innovate on the antiquated home closing process, who love to solve problems, and who are energized when a task list is completed on time. Your day-to-day

  • Working from the Seattle HQ office, receive and distribute documentation supporting the final steps of the real estate transaction process
  • Support in office tasks welcoming guests for signing appointments and coordinating courier pick-up and deliveries
  • Administratively support the home closing process by doing things like data entry, filing paperwork and documents, and assigning appropriate follow-up tasks
  • Cross-collaborate with closing teams and realtor concierge teams to ensure seamless closing processes and high levels of client satisfactionIterate on current processes to continuously improve our internal operations and create even more impactful customer interactions 
  • Ship document packages and new employee welcome packages as needed
  • Greet visitors at the reception desk and help them with their business purpose, such as connecting them with the appropriate team member, signing courier receipts, etc.
  • Model the Core BUILDER Values of Modus through appropriate actions and behaviors
  • This is an in office position at our Seattle office on 5th avenue

Experience You Bring

  • Process improvement skills: you’ve used a workflow that involves a repeatable process, and can talk about ideas that you helped bring to fruition to improve that process
  • Stellar communication: you’ll be communicating verbally and in writing, internally and externally, and professionalism is mandatory
  • Prior Administrative experience: you'll be learning new software systems, and prior experience doing data entry work will help you hit the ground running
  • High attention to detail: you can move quickly while still maintaining high levels of accuracy and organization 
  • A great attitude: your team members and your clients are counting on you to stay calm under pressure and keep rolling with the punches
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills: you’ll need to figure some things out on the fly, so the ability to break down a problem to root cause and solve it quickly will help you succeed
  • Education: A high school diploma
