Associate Director, Clinical Oncology

Job Summary:

Navigating Cancer is building a high-performing and experienced Clinical Oncology team to support our clinical and research strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for providing subject-matter expertise and clinical guidance for Navigating Cancer’s best-in-class clinical software applications and data products. As a clinical oncology expert, your primary focus will be to ensure the success of Navigating Cancer’s portfolio of products and services in partnership with both our provider network and pharmaceutical clients. You will contribute to this in the following ways:

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Serve as in-house clinical oncology subject matter expert in the strategy and development of our core business offerings
  • Partners with internal stakeholders, including Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales, in the creation and development of the clinical strategy / scientific narrative for Navigating Cancer’s product
  • Develop and maintain standard policies and procedures for clinical content, including but not limited to patient-reported outcomes (PRO) instruments, symptom management pathways, and
  • Contributes to design, analysis, interpretation and reporting of scientific content related to patient education programs and patient-reported outcomes data
  • Help identify, effectively interact and forge strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s) to engage in clinical and scientific exchange and collaboration
  • Collaborate and closely coordinate with our marketing team in the development of scientific content for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide disease state and therapy education to internal teams

Requirements:

  • Advanced clinical degree (ex., PharmD, MD) in a medical specialty and 4+ years of oncology-specific healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Extraordinary communication skills, comfortable with public speaking and the ability to translate complex clinical concepts to a non-clinical audience
  • Ability work in cross-functional environment, to translate clinical concepts to technical teams and vice versa
  • Deep understanding of oncology clinical practice and workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in agile and fast paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate closely with a team, or charge forward independently when required

Bonus Points:

  • Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry - ideally within an HEOR or RWE setting
  • Experience in the conduct of clinical research, including planning, design, and execution of studies
  • Prior experience in healthcare technology field

This position is full time 100% remote with the option to come into the Seattle corporate office on a voluntary basis for local candidates.
