Position Summary:

Trupanion is seeking an ambitious, driven, and forward-thinking individual to take on the challenge of a supervisory role within the Claims Department. As the Manager of Claims Training, you will be responsible for supporting Trupanion’s mission and goals by developing, executing, and reporting on initiatives while building a team environment that fosters high performance. As the Team Manager of Claims Training, you will be responsible for providing exceptional training to all roles in the Claims Department, with a goal of providing an experience to our Members that is unmatched in the industry. The ideal leader for this role will manage a varied group of trainers, with a focus on laying a foundation that supports long-term success for trainees and the department as well as creating content to support continuing education and new product deployment. In this role you will have autonomy and take pride in adapting processes to improve impact and results. You will support and develop an existing team of passionate trainers who are dedicated to the experience of Trupanion Members. Does this sound like you?

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and sustaining training programs for all Claims roles, including creating and implementing training for roles not yet supported.
  • Creating and delivering training on new products, existing and emerging cross-functional training opportunities, and implementing training solutions to close the feedback loop between claims teams and Quality Assurance functions.
  • Evaluating, analyzing, and iterating on existing documentation and processes to drive scalability for near-term and long-term needs.
  • Genuine relationship building and collaboration with other leaders in the Claims Department as well as other Learning & Development teams to support the needs of all roles.
  • Utilizing data in decision-making and developing reporting and tracking on goals.
  • Collaborating and communicating with teams across the organization to achieve a common goal of an outstanding Member experience.

Education, Registration & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, equivalent experience accepted
  • Licensed veterinary technician credentials preferred, equivalent experience accepted

Experience:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Education or Learning and Development roles, including building and maintaining content in at least one e-learning platform.
  • 3+ years in a veterinary hospital setting, or equivalent knowledge of veterinary medicine would be a plus.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Innovative problem-solver, who enjoys implementing solutions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of veterinary medicine, terminology, and conditions preferred
  • Japanese bilingual preferred
