Community & Events Coordinator (Location Flexible)
Role Description
We’re looking for a highly motivated and dynamic team-oriented events person who will play an integral part in creating unique employee experiences by cultivating a sense of belonging and purpose, amplifying our cultural values and enabling our employees to feel connected. As the Community & Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and supporting the company-wide community and event strategy by creating unparalleled experiences with world-class execution both virtually and in-person at our Studios.
Studios will be collaborative spaces where employees gather for in-person team meetings, large group events, and community building. These spaces will be instrumental in how we drive community and culture everyday in Virtual First.
This role requires strong communication, project management and problem solving skills; in addition, to the ability to independently execute and manage projects with high-level direction from their manager. The candidate must be able to drive bold, creative and innovative solutions for the business, while also navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environment where things change quickly.
Responsibilities
- Day to day management of the event management system - including day to day management of internal events including virtual, hybrid and in-person events.
- Serve as a Dropbox culture ambassador, and find opportunities to collaborate and partner with other culture leaders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of events
- Plan and execute regional community building events throughout the year
- Gain full-knowledge of event spaces & studios, layout options, as well as functional details and storage locations of all event assets
- Provide post event feedback and improvement areas
- Develop and implement new processes and programs to help streamline event management across regions
- Help maintain Company Events Calendar
Requirements
- 2+ years of operations and event experience, preferably in a dynamic tech company or professional event planning environment
- Strong project management skills - proven ability to handle multiple projects and priorities within agreed timelines and budgets
- Strong creative ability
- Being reactive and able to tackle unforeseen challenges
- Experience using event management or customer service software, ServiceNow preferred
- Experience using Google Calendar
- Available to work events (day, evening, weekend) as business demands
- Proven entrepreneurial skill-set, delivering hustle with style and grace
- Strong attention to detail, organizational planning, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
