Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and motivate a team of people that are responsible for the IT Infrastructure (data center, network, communication and security).

  • Implement a pro-active view of the service organization’s capability to deliver service by trending against performance and quality statistics.

  • Architect and implement IT Infrastructure technologies and platforms supporting corporate data, network and computer systems in a highly available manner.

  • Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IT Infrastructure technologies, including issues with the network, storage, virtual and cloud environments.

  • Escalation point for all issues, tasks and projects relating to IT Infrastructure.

  • Supervise vendors and contractors performing infrastructure implementations.

  • Display patience and professionalism working with employees having a range of computer competencies.

  • Mentor other IT staff as-needed on all IT Infrastructure technologies.

  • Support local & remote users via IT Support ticketing systems, emails, and phone calls.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience providing Tier 3 and 4 technical support.

  • 3+ years of management experience

  • Excellent analytical abilities, project coordination, and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • In-depth knowledge of desktop and server operating systems (MacOS, Windows, Linux).

  • Manage and maintain a virtual infrastructure onsite and in a cloud environment (VMware, Azure, and AWS experience preferred)

  • Manage and maintain a mixed storage infrastructure.

  • Manage and maintain Disaster Recovery and Backup systems.

  • Manage and maintain networking equipment and technology such as core and access switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless access points.

  • Manage and maintain miscellaneous infrastructure hardware such as UPS and power distribution systems.

  • Able to use scripting languages to automate tasks such as Windows PowerShell or BASH.

  • Excellent analytical abilities, project and time management skills, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to work independently on projects with minimal supervision and direction.
