WHO YOU ARE

An IT professional that has a successful track record with all aspects of managing a complex IT infrastructure, as well as Information Security and Compliance. As the Global IT Operations Director, you will provide strategic and tactical leadership for a global IT team, supporting systems and infrastructure, including:

  • Networking

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Oversee global IT operations, policies, procedures and assess them according to company goals
  • Lead and manage your small global team to provide solutions for our global network: system monitoring and performance tuning, system administration, systems control and security, and technical documentation
  • Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that ensure data security
  • Conduct analysis, investigate and recommend security technologies - including managed security services, firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection, VPN and solutions for incorporation into product/services
  • Strategize the deployment of cloud applications
  • Ensure proper staffing and skillsets are in place to deliver quality IT services
  • Understand the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
  • Ensure capacity planning is in place
  • Determine efficient and cost-effective IT hardware and software
  • Identify the necessity for upgrades, configurations or current systems
  • Create and monitor IT budgets and expenses
  • Build relationships with vendors and oversee all contracts and maintenance agreements
  • Evaluate the costs and benefits of cloud services and subscriptions
  • Provide weekly status reports for CEO

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • 5+ years of experience in each of the following:
    • IT infrastructure and staff management
    • Defining and managing IT policies and procedures
    • Windows Server 2003/2008
    • TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP, routing, VPN)
    • SQL Server, Exchange, IIS, Office/Outlook
    • PC/Server/network hardware
    • Management of cloud-hosted internal systems
    • Management of end-user-facing, cloud-hosted applications
  • Experience in Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance preferred
  • Well versed in a broad set of technologies, including networking, storage, collaboration tools, service desk, cybersecurity, virtualization, (VMware or equivalent) cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS), etc.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to think creatively and strategically
  • Knowledge of Privacy Shield, European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Familiarity with Data Management functional areas, including development, data scientist, security and engineering
  • Willingness to travel as required

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in computer science or 10 years’ experience in a related field
  • 5 years’ experience in managing staff and contractors in a technology environment
  • 5 years’ experience in vendor management
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or AX helpful
  • Good organizational habits and outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Flexible, professional, highly motivated individual

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This is a full-time position
  • At this time, we are looking at local candidates only, as we are not offering relocation packages
  • Ability to provide documentation that proves authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship
